Silda Spitzer is the wife of former New York governor Eliot Spitzer. She is the founder and chairman of the board of Children for Children, a non-profit organization focused on community and social involvement in young people.

On March 10, 2008, Eliot Spitzer admitted to patronizing a prostitution ring. He resigned his governor's post effective March 17, 2008.
