Sigourney Weaver is an Academy Award nominated American actress best known for her role in the Alien Films. Other hit films include Ghostbusters, Gorillas in the Mist, and The Ice Storm.
She received a BA in English from Stanford University and an MFA from the prestigious Yale School of Drama where she befriended and acted in plays of classmate, Christopher Durang, an American playwright known for absurdist comedies.
