Sibylle Szaggars and Robert Redford began dating in 1996. They were married at the Louis C. Jacob Hotel in Germany on July 11, 2009. As a teenager, she traveled with her family to Europe, Morocco and Malaysia. She studied the work on Vincent van Gogh and moved to London, England.

She began to show her work around Germany and London during group showings.

Szaggars moved to Utah in the 1990s and set up her painting studio in the mountain village of Sundance.
