Shutter Island is the first movie directed by Martin Scorsese since he teamed up with DiCaprio in The Departed in 2006, which won four Academy Awards and was nominated for another.

Synopsis
"The Shutter Island story revolves around two U.S. marshals (Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo) who travel to a Massachusetts island to investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane. Max Von Sydow will play one of the hospital's physicians, while Emily Mortimer will play Rachel, an escaped hospital patient."
