On November 10, 2007, during the Ibero-American Summit in Chile, the King of Spain, Juan Carlos, was driven to bluntly ask Venezuela's president, Hugo Chavez, "Por qué no te callas?" ("why don't you shut up?"). The quote soon became a hugely popular downloadable ringtone among cell phone users in Spain.
