Shiva Rose (Gharibafshar) is an American actress of Iranian and French descent. Rose married Dylan McDermott in November, 1995 and the couple separated in 2007.
On May 20, 2008 McDermott filed a petition for dissolution of their marriage citing irreconcilable differences, and is seeking joint custody of their daughters Charlotte and Colette.
Career
Rose's acting career includes roles in Black Days, HBO's film 6, and guest appearances on Gideon's Crossing, The Practice, and CSI: Miami.
She won the award for Best Breakthrough Performance in an American Indie film for her role in David & Layla.
Charitable Work
Rose is an active volunteer for charitable organizations and was asked to serve as a spokesperson for the refugee program for Amnesty International.
