Documentary film Shine a Light, the latest from esteemed director Martin Scorsese, centers around two 2006 Rolling Stones concerts at New York City's famed Beacon Theatre during the band's "A Bigger Bang" tour. Various award-winning cinematographers were brought in to capture the raw energy of one of the world's most celebrated and longest-running rock bands in concert. The resulting scenes are interspersed with historical news clips, classic interviews, and archived Rolling Stones footage. Shine a Light premiered at the 2008 Berlin Film Festival and opens worldwide on April 4th, 2008, in both traditional cinemas and select IMAX theaters.
