Sheri Klouda was a former professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary who sued the school, allegedly claiming her contract was not renewed because she is a female. In March of 2008, a federal judge dismissed the case agreeing with the Seminary's decision that their actions were based on ecclesiastical decisions protected under the First Amendment's religion clauses.
