  • Sherbet, also known as sherbert, is a fruit flavored frozen dessert similar to ice cream but made with very little dairy.
  • How to Make Peach Sherbet

    1. Blanch 6 large, ripe peaches in a pot of hot water. Remove the pit and the skins and force the softened peaches through a sieve.
    2. Mix a 12 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk into the fruit puree. Sweeten with one or two tablespoons of sugar if desired.
    3. Set in an ice cream maker for 30 minutes or pour into a freezer-safe bowl and leave in freezer overnight.
