Shemar Moore is an American model and actor who starred on The Young and the Restless and who has hosted Soul Train. He is currently on the CBS TV show Criminal Minds.
Life and Career
Shemar Moore spent his childhood in Bahrain and Boston, Massachusetts. His mother is of Dutch origin, and his father is African-American.
Moore attended Santa Clara University with communications as his major. His first big break into entertainment came for his portrayal of Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless. He played the role for eight years. He also hosted the show Soul Train for a number of years.
Currently he plays FBI Agent Derek Morgan on CBS's Criminal Minds.
