    On May 17, 2009, Benjamin was defeated by John Morrison on WWE's pay-per-view Judgment Day.

  • Career

    Benjamin was an accomplished amateur wrestler in high school and college, finishing with a 36-6 win-loss record at the University of Minnesota. Rather than tryout for the 2000 Olympics, Benjamin decided to pursue professional wrestling.

    Benjamin was signed to a WWE contract in 2000 and assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling. He made his SmackDown debut in 2002 as a member of Team Angle with Kurt Angle and Charlie Haas. Haas and Benjamin dubbed themselves The World's Greatest Tag Team and won multiple tag team championships. In 2004, Benjamin was moved to Raw and got a singles push with a pinfall victory over Triple H. Benjamin would later win Intercontinental Championship gold.

    Benjamin was moved to ECW in November 2007, where he began dying his hair blonde and calling himself The Gold Standard. He recently competed in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania XXIV.
