About the Game

The general manager of publisher Eidos Game Studios, Lee Singleton, stated that "at times [Shellshock 2] feels more like you're in a horror movie than a game."IGN: Shellshock 2 Announced For The Holidays (September 30, 2008) The game is the sequel to 2004's psychological first-person shooter ShellShock: Nam '67 and again takes place during the Vietnam War. Special ops soldiers, sent to retrieve a top-secret shipment lost in the jungle, also disappear without a trace. A month later, a lone survivor soldier escapes from the jungle, driven insane by what he experienced. And the source of the madness has followed him out.
Reception

The first game in the series, ShellShock: Nam '67, developed by Guerilla Games, sold 900,000 copies. However, it was generally badly received and averaged a score of 5.5/10 from review magazines, both in print and online.
