About the Game
The general manager of publisher Eidos Game Studios, Lee Singleton, stated that "at times [Shellshock 2] feels more like you're in a horror movie than a game."IGN: Shellshock 2 Announced For The Holidays (September 30, 2008) The game is the sequel to 2004's psychological first-person shooter ShellShock: Nam '67 and again takes place during the Vietnam War. Special ops soldiers, sent to retrieve a top-secret shipment lost in the jungle, also disappear without a trace. A month later, a lone survivor soldier escapes from the jungle, driven insane by what he experienced. And the source of the madness has followed him out. -
Reception
The first game in the series, ShellShock: Nam '67, developed by Guerilla Games, sold 900,000 copies. However, it was generally badly received and averaged a score of 5.5/10 from review magazines, both in print and online.
