Shelley Malil is an Indian-American actor who played the role of "Haziz" in the 2005 comedy film The 40 Year Old Virgin. Malil has also appeared in several television shows, including The West Wing, Scrubs and NYPD Blue.
Malil is standing trial for allegedly stabbing his ex girlfriend Kendra Beebe up to 20 times in an attack on August 11, 2008. He has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and residential burglary and faces a possible life sentence in prison if convinced.
