Shelby Lynne is an American country music singer, songwriter and actress. Lynne won the CMA's Horizon Award, given to the year's top emerging artist in 1991. In the year 2000, Lynne signed with Island Records, releasing her album, "I Am Shelby Lynne". This album record was greeted enthusiastically and won her a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in early 2001.
