Canadian professional hockey player Shea Weber plays for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League.
NHL Career
Weber was drafted 49th overall in the 2003 NHL draft by the Nashville Predators. He played two additional seasons with his junior team, the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League, before joining the Predators in 2005 for his NHL debut. He split his rookie season between the Predators and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, then earned a full roster spot with the Predators in 2006. On June 23, 2008, Weber renewed his contract with the Predators. The contract is reportedly worth $13.5 million over three years.ESPN.com: Shea Weber
