• No Fourth Wall

  Unlike most fictional characters, it is very typical for She-Hulk to address the readers of her comic book directly, breaking the dramaturgical convention of the fourth wall, which is the notion that fictional characters are unaware of their audience, instead seeing a fictive fourth wall where their audience is. She-Hulk suffers no such limitation, often quipping to the audience with a wry sense of humor. This is treated as personality quirk by other characters, who themselves function as normal fictional characters do. Curiously, this aspect of She-Hulk is usually limited to her own series; when she appears in other comics, she does not often address the readers.
