Shawn Camp is a Major League Baseball player. He is currently a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Early Life
Shawn Anthony Camp was born in Farifax, Virginia, on November 18, 1975. He attended Robinson High School. He continued his education at George Mason University. In 1997, Camp was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 16th round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
Pro Career
In 2001, Camp was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He signed as a free agent with the Kansas City Royals in 2003. On April 5, 2004, Camp made his MLB debut with the Kansas City Royals. In 2006, he was signed by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Camp finished the 2007 campaign with a 7.20 earned run average and a record of zero wins and three losses. He signed with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2008.
