Professional football defensive lineman Shaun Smith plays in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns.

On December 17, 2008, Smith reportedly punched teammate Brady Quinn in the Browns locker room during a practice session. After college, Smith signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys on May 1, 2003. After sitting on the Cowboys practice squad, he was waived in 2004, picked up by the Arizona Cardinals and waived again. He joined the New Orleans Saints for his NFL debut, playing in five games before he was waived again and claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals. Smith finished the 2004 season with the Bengals and played two additional seasons with the team before entering free agency in 2007.
