Outside linebacker Shaun Phillips plays professional football for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.
On April 26, 2009, Phillips was cited for misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching a hotel security guard in San Diego, California. College Football Career
Prior to playing professionally, Phillips played college football with the Purdue Boilermakers in the NCAA. Starting in 49-consecutive games, Phillips recorded 231 tackles, 60.5 tackles for a loss, 33.5 sacks and nine forced fumbles, setting a school record for quarterback sacks. NFL Career
After college, Phillips was selected 98th overall in the 2004 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers. He made his professional debut that same season, playing in all 16 games and recording 26 tackles, four sacks, two pass deflections and one interception.NFL.com: Shaun Phillips
