Outside linebacker Shaun Phillips plays professional football for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.
On April 26, 2009, Phillips was cited for misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching a hotel security guard in San Diego, California. College Football Career
Prior to playing professionally, Phillips played college football with the Purdue Boilermakers in the NCAA. Starting in 49-consecutive games, Phillips recorded 231 tackles, 60.5 tackles for a loss, 33.5 sacks and nine forced fumbles, setting a school record for quarterback sacks. After college, Phillips was selected 98th overall in the 2004 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers.
