Shaun of the Dead is a 2004 horror-comedy starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost that became a breakout hit in both the United States and England. Described as "a romantic comedy with zombies," the movie follows Shaun (Pegg) as he deals with the competing annoyances of both his girlfriend leaving him and zombies taking over the city. Along with his mother, step-father and group of best friends, Shaun is forced to protect himself from a wave of blood-thirsty Zombies. The movie went on to be a critical and commercial success and became one of the best-reviewed movies of the year.
