Shaun Livingston is a point guard for the NBA Washington Wizards. He was considered the future face of the Clippers franchise before suffering a career threatening knee injury in a game against the Charlotte Bobcats in 2007.
Early Life
Shaun Patrick Livingston was born in Peoria, Illinois on September 11, 1985. He would attend Richwoods High School and then Peoria Central High School where he would establish himself as a premiere High School prospect. He would be accepted to Duke University, but instead would declare himself eligible for the NBA Draft.
Pro Career
Livingston would be elected with the fourth pick in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. He would establish himself in his first season as an excellent back up to Sam Cassell, and the face of the franchise in the future. His first two seasons he would show glimpses of his potential, and in 2007 was named the starting point guard for the team. On February 26, 2007, against the Charlotte Bobcats Livingston suffered a horrific career threatening injury tearing his Posterior Cruciate Ligament, the Lateral Mieniscus and the Anterior Cruciate Ligament.
Second Chance
After the devastating injury to his knee, Livingston is attempting a comeback with the Miami Heat. The Heat franchise announced that they had signed Livingston on October 3, 2008.
