Sharpe James

Former Newark, New Jersey Mayor Sharpe James served as a Democratic State Senator for the 29th Legislative District. In April 2008, James was convicted of fraud for attempting to sell city-owned buildings to a friend and then flip them for a profit. Sharpe James Trial

On April 16, 2008, James was convicted on five charges including fraud and conspiracy.
