Sharon den Adel

Sharon Janny den Adel, is a Dutch soprano, composer and founder of Dutch band Within Temptation. She was born on July 12, 1974, in Waddinxveen, Souh Holland. Her career starts at age 13 with a band called Kashiro, but the success came after she and Robert Westerholt founded Within Temptation in 1996 . During this period, she worked for a fashion company. After Within Temptation hit the charts with "Ice Queen", Sharon decided to stick to the music. In December 7, 2005 Sharon gave birth to her first baby: Eva Luna. She and Robert Westerholt live in Hilversum. In June 1, 2009 another member appeared in her family: Robin Aiden Westerholt. http://www.within-temptation.com

The most important part of her career began in 1996 with Within Temptation. Along with all the members from the band (Robert Westerholt, Ruud Jolie, Jeroen van Veen, Stephen van Haestregt and Martijn Spierenburg), Sharon sold over 2 million Cd's all over the world. Her soprano vocals played a major role in the band. http://www.within-temptation.com After the first album, called "Enter", Sharon had many guest appearances over the years. In 2008 she collaborates with Armin van Buuren for the single "In and Out of Love" from the album "Imagine". The album debuted at #4 on the US Billboard's Top Electronic Albums Chart.
