The Aukland Museum in New Zealand will broadcast their dissection of a female great white shark on January 8, 2009, from 2 p.m. New Zealand time, through video streaming live from on internet. The dissection will be performed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with delayed video broadcast online starting at 2 p.m. About 1000 attendees are expected to attend the dissection on location. Scientists hope the dissection will provide insight into the limited knowledge scientists have obtained concerning the great white shark and its eating habits.
