Sharilyn Johnson, a Canadian resident and fan of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, flew from from Toronto to New York City to attend a taping of The Daily Show's Election Night Special. According to Johnson, she traveled from Toronto to New York City on election night to attend a taping of The Daily Show. Johnson had ordered her tickets seven months in advance and received conformation from the Daily Show staff that she would be attending the taping. Johnson waited in line with other ticket holders for several hours before being informed she would not be getting into the taping. Johnson claims only 21 ticket holders were allowed into the studio due to VIPs taking up seats.
