Shannon Miller Foundation
- The Shannon Miller Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting childhood obesity. As part of her efforts to teach children a healthy lifestyle, Miller's Foundation held a Shannon Miller Kids’ Marathon. With the assistance of the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Jacksonville, Florida, participants, ages 7-14, were introduced to a 12 week program where they ran or walked 25 miles over the course of 12 weeks. The last 1.2 miles was run on Race Day, and when the kids crossed the finish line, they will have run 26.2 miles, the entire distance of an Olympic marathon.Official Site: Shannon Miller Foundation
