Shannon Kay Hrozek

Shannon Kay Hrozek, a former Westfield High School English teacher was arrested in January 2008 for sexual abuse of a child. On January 3, 2008, a janitor informed an assistant principal that a teacher and a student were in a room alone with the lights off. It was after school hours, so the principle used a master key to access the classroom and discovered Hrozek allegedly performing oral sex on a 16-year-old male student.KHOU: Shocking Details Emerge (January 9, 2008)

Hrozek faces up to 20 years in prison for sexual abuse of a child but as of January 10, 2009, jurors have twice told a judge that their are deadlocked. However, the judge has instructed the jury to continue with their deliberations.MSNBC: Jury Deadlocked (February 10, 2009)
