Shannon Brown is a professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. Brown was selected as the 25th pick (first round) in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was acquired by the Chicago Bulls as part of the 3-team trade. He signed as a free agent with the Charlotte Bobcats which then traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers.

2010 Exit Interview
On June 22, 2010 the Los Angeles Lakers conducted an exit interview with Shannon Brown. Points that were raised during the exit interview including consideration to opt out or not. He also emphasized that he would love to stay in Los Angeles. He is also happy that he has made progress since being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in February 2009. [1]
Early Life
Shannon Brown was born in Maywood, Illinois, on November 29, 1985, and went on to attend Proviso East. He continued his education at Michigan State University where he played for three seasons. At Michigan State, he was named All-Big Ten Second Team and Big Ten All-Defensive Team. He also scored his 1,000th career point.

Pro Career
In his first season, Brown started five games for the Cavaliers. Brown was then traded on February 21, 2008, to the Chicago Bulls with Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes and Cedric Simmons as part of the 3-team trade between Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, and Seattle Supersonics.
On August 6, 2008, he signed with the Charlotte Bobcats as a free agent where he played for 30 games. On February 7, 2009, Brown and Adam Morrison were traded to the Los Angeles Lakers for Vladimir Radmanovic. [1]
