    Shane Patrick Victorino was born in Wailuku, Hawaii on November 30, 1980. He would attend St. Anthony High School in Hawaii. He would be drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 6th round of the Major League baseball draft. Then he would be selected by the [[San Diego Padres in the 2002 rule 5 draft.
  • Pro Career

    Victorino would make his major league debut on April 2, 2003 with the San Diego Padres. The Philadelphia Phillies would obtain Victorino in 2004 in the 2004 Rule 5 draft and he would establish himself as an everyday outfielder with the trade of Bobby Abreu to the New York Yankees. He would be moved to center field after Aaron Rowand signed with the San Francisco Giants. He is now a fan favorite among Phillie fans for his excellent speed and his clutch hitting and flair for the dramatic.
