  • College Football Career

    Prior to playing in the NFL, Lechler played college football with the Texas A&M Aggies in the NCAA. He set numerous records with the Aggies, including the best career punt average, at 44.7, and most career games with a 40-yard or more average, at 37, in the NCAA.   • NFL Career

    After college, Lechler was selected 142nd overall in the 2000 NFL draft by the Oakland Raiders. He made his professional debut that same year, playing in all 16 regular season games. Lechler continued with the Raiders in the years since, playing in every game each season, with the exception of the 2002 season when he missed two games.
