Shane Black

Shane Black is a Hollywood screenwriter known for his work on well known films such as Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Black's former girlfriend, Sonya Popovich, filed suit against Black in February of 2009 for alleged assault, battery and emotional distress after claims that he kicked, punched, choked and tried to suffocate her. Black's former girlfriend, Sonya Popovich, filed a lawsuit against Black on February 19, 2009, in the Los Angeles County Superior Court after claiming that Black kicked, punched, choked, pointed a gun in her direction, crushed her throat (causing an injury to her esophagus for which she was hospitalized) among other things in 2006.
