A rumored sex tape of musicians Shakira and Alejandro Sanz, and Shakira's partner, attorney Antonio de la Rua, participating in a threesome on a yacht has turned out to be a hoax, according to representatives for those involved. The internet rumor originated on April 1, 2008, when prosecutors in an extortion case involving ex-employees of Sanz claimed to have a tape. On April 2, 2008, People en Espanol reported that, "both artists' agencies have denied existence of such a tape". Rua and Shakira have been a couple since 2000.
