Sex, Lies, and Videotape is a dramatic independent film that examines the issues of infidelity and voyeurism through the lives of four people - as a man films women talking about their sexuality. As the debut feature from director Steven Soderbergh, the low-budget film helped to popularize and invigorate the Independent film movement, as well as launch the careers of many of the people involved. The movie went on to be a commercial success and went on to be nominated for a number of awards, including an Oscar for Best Screenplay.
