Sex and the City

The HBO television dramedy Sex and the City follows the New York City lives of "Carrie" and her three closest friends. The popular show detailed their fantasies, life in society, problems and triumphs.

The show made its debut on June 6, 1998 to critic and fan favor. It quickly became the most popular series of the year and has been given a cult like status due to the devotion of its followers. The leading woman and narrator "Carrie Bradshaw" was played by Sarah Jessica Parker. Her three best friends were Kristin Davis as "Charlotte York", Cynthia Nixon as "Miranda Hobbes" and Kim Cattrall as "Samantha Jones."

Columnist "Carrie" spends much of her life searching for a partner and finally ends up with the love of her life, "Mr. Big".

Confident public relations executive "Samantha" was devoted to the great sexual conquest.

"Charlotte's" main desire was to find true love and a wealthy husband. She believed she found her prince charming with "Dr. Trey MacDougal".

Single mother and lawyer "Miranda" had a special attachment to "Steve", the father of her child.
