Seth Meyers is a comedian/actor best known as a cast member on Saturday Night Live.
Meyers started his career as an improv comic in the Northwestern University improv sketch group called Mee-Ow. He joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2001 and was promoted to writing supervisor in 2005. After Tina Fey left the show, Meyers became the head writer for the 2007-2007 season.
Meyers currently hosts the show's popular Weekend Update feature. He previously hosted with Amy Poehler, who left the show in the fall of 2008. Since then, Meyers has hosted Update by himself or with guest stars, such as Tracy Morgan.
