    Prior to playing in the NFL, McKinney played college football with the Texas A&M Aggies in the NCAA. He started in 50-consecutive games, becoming the fifth center to do so in NCAA Division 1-A history.   • NFL Career

    After college, McKinney was selected 90th overall in the 2002 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins. He made his professional debut that same year, playing in all 16 regular season games. He continued with the Dolphins through 2006, but was sidelined on December 14, 2005, having neck surgery.
