  • The wildfire known as the "Sesnon Fire," or Porter Ranch Fire, started in California's Oat Mountain area on Monday, October 13, 2008. The flames were driven by wind and burned through the brush in Porter Ranch near Ronald Reagan Freeway. The Sesnon Fire quickly spread and had burned nearly 5,000 miles by the evening of Monday, October 13, 2008. Authorities are investigating the possibility that embers from the Marek Fire ignited the Sesnon Fire.
