Prohias spoke even less English, but managed to introduce Aragones to publisher Bill Gaines.Sergio Aragones.com: Sergio Aragones biography Aragones soon began contributing the tiny, wordless cartoons in the margins of the magazine that have become a staple of MAD.

In comic books, Aragones has made his mark as the creator and artist of the Conan the Barbarian parody Groo the Wanderer. Comics and cartoon writer Mark Evanier (Scooby Doo, DNAgents) often writes Groo's dialog, and the letterer for the book is Usagi Yojimbo creator Stan Sakai, making Groo the Wanderer an all-star comics collaboration.
