Serena Williams Undergoes Emergency Surgery
Tennis star Serena Williams reportedly underwent emergency surgery earlier this week, after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital with a pulmonary embolism. According to "People Magazine," the 29-year-old Williams "underwent emergency treatment" at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday, Feb. 28, 2011.c
A rep for Williams told "People" that her client suffered a "hematoma" -- the "result of treatment for a more critical situation" -- a pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot in the lungs.
