    Before joining the NFL, Young played college football with the Texas Longhorns, recording 1,713 yards and 25 touchdowns in 49 games. After helping Longhorns win the national championship in 2005, Young was selected as an All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2006.     Young made his NFL debut with the Broncos in 2007, playing in 15 regular season games. He finished his rookie career with 140 carries for 729 yards and one touchdown.
