The Michigan born actress first drew national attention for her work in the hit film Cruel Intentions starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. The film, an updated version of the French novel Les Liaisons dangereuses, featured Blair as the naive Cecile Caldwell. In the film's signature moment Gellar "teaches" Blair how to kiss. The moment captured the award for Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards.
She was able to follow up that success with work in such films as Legally Blonde starring Reese Witherspoon and The Sweetest Thing starring Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate.
In 2004, she appeared in the Box Office Hit Hellboy directed by Guillermo del Toro, and in 2008 she appears in the sequel for the hit film Hellboy 2: The Golden Army.
