On Monday June 1, 2008, 129 of the 430 children seized in the Polygamist Sect Raid were released to their parents. More children will be released.
The Supreme Court ruled that the seizure of the children crossed a boundary the sect children were taken, including infants and boys. Texas officials were unable to provide proof of the alleged abuse.
