Secretary's Day, also known as Administrative Professionals' Day is a non official holiday that recognizes the work done by secretaries and administrative assistants. It is celebrated annually on the Wednesday of the last full week in April.

Secretary's Day History
In 1952, Secretary's Day was created by Harry F. Klemfuss of Young & Rubicam to get encourage more people to consider starting a career in secretarial work. Klemfuss felt that the holiday would promote the importance of secretarial jobs.
When Secretary's Day was first celebrated in 1952, it was celebrated during the first week of June. It 1955, the holiday was moved to the last full week in April.
In 1981, the last full week of April was designated Professional Secretaries Week. Then in 2000, the name was changed once more to Administrative Professionals Week.
