Second Skin is a 2008 documentary film about people whose lives have been changed by the virtual worlds of online gaming while playing games like World of Warcraft, Second Life, and Everquest. The film explores the lives of a couple who meet and fall in love online while role playing in World of Warcraft. The film follows a young man whose video game addiction compelled him to play 14-16 hours a day until he enrolled in the twelve-step group, Online Gamers Anonymous. Second Skin puts into sharp focus how technology is shaping lives.
