SEC Tournament Moves to Georgia Tech

Categories: Sports | News
  • 'The remaining SEC tournament games are moving to Georgia Tech because of a vicious tornado that ripped the roof off of the Georgia Dome during the tornado at Atlanta. During the time the tournament game between Mississippi State and Alabama was taking place which delayed the game for over an hour. The damage occurred with 2:11 left to go in overtime. Eventually, they finished the game with Mississippi State winning, but the last of the four scheduled games, featuring Georgia and Kentucky, was rescheduled for Saturday March 15. This means the winner of this game will actually play twice on the same day, as the winner faces Mississippi State in the semifinals. The building also serves as home to the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL.
