• Early Life

  Sebastian Telfair was born in Brooklyn, New York, on June 9, 1985, and he went on to attend Abraham Lincoln High School. In 2004, Telfair decided to forgo college and declare himself eligible fo the NBA draft. • Pro Career

  In his first season with the Trail Blazers, Telfair averaged 6.8 points and 3.3 assists in 68 games. In 2006, he was traded to the Boston Celtics, then the following season he was traded again, this time to the Minnesota Timberwolves. • Weapons Charges

  In April of 2007, Telfair was arrested after police found a loaded gun in his car. Telfair later pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon and was sentenced to three years probation. On October 14, 2008, the NBA gave Telfair a three-game suspension for the incident.
