Model and actress Sean Young had a prominent film career throughout the 1980s before a string of setbacks temporarily ended her career in the 1990s.
Career
Young had her film debut in the 1980 Merchant Ivory film Jane Austen in Manhattan. Two years later, Young starred opposite Harrison Ford in Blade Runner. Despite the films initial box-office failure, Blade Runner went on to achieve cult status and has proven to be one of Young's most memorable films.
During the 1990s, Young retreated to Sedona, Arizona, after problems with actor James Woods and a series of lost roles helped to derail her career.Entertainment Weekly: Sean Young: 'I'm a Comeback Waiting To Happen' (Sep 21, 2007) In 2000, Young moved back to Los Angeles to try and make a career comeback.
