Sean Taylor Dead

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died after being shot in the leg during a robbery attempt at his home in Miami, Florida.

1. Shot twice in the groin before dawn on November 26, 2007 as a result of attempted home burglary
2. Bullet struck the femoral artery, causing significant blood loss
3. Airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital at 2 AM
4. Doctors performed surgery to fix damaged femoral artery in his upper leg
5. Taylor never regained consciousness and died around 5:30 AM EST on November 27, 2007 at the age of 24
6. Survived by his father, Pedro, acting chief of the Florida City Police Department, high school sweetheart Jackie Garcia, and an 18-month-old daughter, Jackie
