Sean Gregory May was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 4, 1984. He attended Bloomington North High School in Indiana. He continued his education at the University of North Carolina. In his first season with the Bobcats, May averaged 8.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 17.3 minutes in 23 games.
